Latest Futures & Options News

The China Daily reported that China's three futures exchanges should get the okay to trade futures options later this year. The industry has been waiting for a move like this for a long time. China has had a struggling futures industry and this could significantly help them.

In anticipation of the move, white sugar and soy oil futures were introduced earlier this month on the Dalian Commodity Exchange, and the exchange is in the process of testing and installing a trade system for a soybean futures option. The Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange is expected to trade a wheat futures option, and Shanghai Futures Exchange is working on a copper futures option. It has also been disclosed that a new exchange would be set up in Shanghai to trade financial futures and derivatives.
